Yes the Leafs should trade Nylander if they can get Sault Ste Marie players in return that makes the team better. I dont trust Dubas to make this distinction so I dont want Dubas to trade him. The Media should really stop instigating these rumors.

The trade Nylander narrative is equally as stupid as the trade Marner narrative, look what happened when they traded Nazem Kadri now all the Leafs have to show for him is a guy who can skate around good with no hands and it set the team back, why did they pay John Tavares 11 million fucking dollars so he can play with Mikeyev and Kerfoot, what the fuck is Keefe smoking, Tavares scored 47 goals playing with Marner his first season and as much as I like Marner and Matthews on the same line it doesn't make sense to have two centers making 11 million fucking dollars if management aren't capable of surrounding them with players that are worthy of playing on the same line as them

As much as people like Campbell he needs to be a tandem goalie and 5/6 million is too expensive for a tandem goalie

Montreal has Allan they could move too.

Anderson and Strubble for Nylander could be an option too.

Nylander and Tavares are expendable. They are highly overrated one dimensional players who are grossly overpaid. The Leafs core group have too many soft players that scare no team.

Id be looking for the worst Defensive team with a really ok save percentage goalie. Put that goalie in a good defensive team and those SV% goes way up. Defensive teams can hide a goalies dirty laundry. I think Jack's save percentages would go down drastically. Holtby to me looks good, and only 2M.

Nylander can look like a superstar at times but for the most part he is too lazy for my liking. hope he's traded.

Marner to Montreal for 1st Overall. May have to take back a contract someone like Josh Anderson for lilligren to make it work. This gives Tavares a winger and Nylander moves up with Mathews. If you draft a forward move Nylander for a defenceman. Now we can afford Jack.

Marner is the solution no matter how much I like him. He is way overpaid as a winger. How many points of his could you attribute to Mathews. I do not think he will get 30 plus goals again. You need a team with cap space. New Jersey fits the bill. We need to draft his replacement for a cheaper solution. Even bigger deal possible. Marner and Mrazek for 2nd overall pick and maybe a young defenceman. Going really BIG. Marner, Mrazek, Muzzin our #1 pick. for Doug Hamilton and 2nd overall. Now we can afford Jack.

Lyubushkin needs to be signed ASAP. As for Campbell we all adore the guy and Holl hasn’t helped Campbells numbers at all but anything more than 3.8m (Mrazek contract) is a huge overpayment and at that point they need to get rid of Mrazek and bring in a decent 2m goalie.

There was some players who shine during the regular season and then they are those players who always show up during the playoffs get those type of players. This trade Nylander thing is so much emotion and not a lot of logic which kind of sums up the Toronto Maple laughs. Nylander showed up the last 2 playoffs and in my opinion would have been that impact player if they managed to beat Tampa in game 7.

Nylander is a fantastic player...WHEN HE FEELS LIKE IT... Thats the problem, he takes too many shifts off, not finishing your checks in the playoffs is unexcusable, especially as a "core" player on a team that has failed for 6 straight years.

In world championships Willy has scored most points per game since Lindros in 1993. And he is getting better every year.

The Leafs should trade Nylander straight up for Pierre Dubois, Unload Muzzin and get young CANADIAN defencemen, that can shoot, check, fight and above all, defend the goalie with every thing you have, do we see that in the leafs defence? NO. I'm with you the Leafs, should never have traded Hyman or Kadri, because they were the backbone for the Leafs forwards!!!

I’m torn. We’ll miss those goals, but we need another playmaker for 91. He’s a home plate area give and go player. If we’re going to have a prayer of getting our money’s worth for 91 we need to get him some dish. I don’t WANT to get rid of 88, but for the right return I’m not averse to the idea.

I don’t think anyone is debating Nylander’s talent man. The reality is we don’t need skill - we need grit, and experience. Out of the top 4, Nylander is 100% the easiest contract to trade so we can add what I believe we’re missing (grit and experience).

I would rather have Tyler Bertuzzi who makes 4.750 cap hit and is the player the Leafs need. Consistency power forward . Nylander I will agree is talented but has been in the NHL long enough that you know what he brings and consistency is not what he brings. Nylander is a good player who will never be great because he doesn’t bring it every game and will just disappear for games. Sorry Andrew but you don’t win Stanley cups with players like him.
